OUR TEAM

Brooke is a DFW-Based Choreographer and Theater Arts Educator.
Brooke grew up to love performing from a young age, having performed and choreographed over 50 musicals in the arts enriched town of Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She attended the Junior Theater Festival for years as a performer. At the age of 17, her choreography was recognized by Broadway and Industry Professionals, and was awarded the Freddie G Outstanding Achievement in Student Direction and Choreography Award for Annie Jr. Some of the feedback Brooke received for that work…“You choreographed this whole show at 17?! Wow. Just phenomenal.” “She took a show that everyone knows and made it fresh.” From other features of Brookes’ work, critics have said, “ (the choreography) forget the word awesome, it was absolutely unforgettable, almost heartstoppingly beautiful.”

Brooke went on to pursue her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was chosen for many new works with New York City and LA Based Choreographers, and was given the opportunity to travel to Beijing, China with her professor Maria Gillespie and her dance company, ONI DANCE.

After her time in Beijing, she headed to Walt Disney World to start her career as a performer. Brooke has portrayed many beloved Disney characters. Within her time at Walt Disney World, she was a part of many parade offerings along with media events and filming for television. After 2 years, Brooke left for her 1st contract with Disney Cruise Line. During her time with DCL she has danced and sang in shows such as Disney Dreams, The Golden Mickey’s, Sailing Away, Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean, Summon the Force, and many other fun and exciting offerings.

Brooke loves how theater brought her a family where she was surrounded by people who shared the similar passions as her, while embracing each others uniqueness and differences.

Brooke strives to create a safe, welcoming, space where everyone feels seen, heard, accepted and celebrated!

Kara is a Fort Worth native who has lived and breathed dance for over 20 years. She started dancing at the age of 2 at a local studio and has been lucky enough to experience dance in so many different ways.

At her childhood dance studio, she started with recreational classes and at the age of 6, she joined the competition team. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and clogging.

In high school, Kara took a leap of faith and left the studio world for the drill team life. Kara spent four wonderful years on the Varsity drill team at Fossil Ridge High School, and served her junior year as a lieutenant and her senior year as Captain. Kara gives her time on drill team all the credit for helping her become the leader she is today.

After high school, Kara spent a year on the Pom squad at her college in Conway, Arkansas, but felt Texas calling her back in 2020. Kara took some time away from dance with the pandemic and the world shutting down, but the passion never went away. She began choreographing for soloists from her high school and fell in love with choreography. In 2023, she started taking in person classes at TCC Northwest, where most of her studies revolved around dance. In her time at TCC, she trained in ballet, hip hop, tap, and tried a few new classes such as modern and improv. Her favorite class during her time at TCC was her choreography and composition class, as it taught her so much about herself and the kind of choreographer she wanted to be.

Kara went on to complete her Bachelor’s of General Studies at Texas Woman’s University, with concentrations in Business, Psychology, and Health Studies. She has been teaching dance in the Fort Worth area for 4 years now and is eternally grateful for the performing arts community.

Although Kara’s first love is dance, she has dabbled in the theatre world. In middle school she was a part of the theatre production class where she performed as Velma Von Toussle in “Hairspray Jr.”, and Avant Garde Red in “Totally Red.” Kara loves how dance has become such a huge part of theatre and is excited to be able to contribute to that.
